October 2003

October 28 - I've been asked to work on cellphone games for a company in the South Bay! Sweet!

October 26 - Check out the photos from my Tux Paint demo at the Davis Food Co-Op today! We didn't get a huge crowd, but those who did show up were very interested and entertained!

October 24 - I mentioned my Tux Paint demo this Sunday to my friend Dr. Andy Jones, who just happens to have a radio show on the local college station. Not only did he plug it, but he's tried it out with his daughter, and gave it a rave review!

October 22 - I wrote a letter (with some help) that I'm sending to all of the K-12 schools in Davis (and Woodland), California. Many include a pamphlet about OpenOffice.org, and the ones to the elementary schools include a Tux Paint brochure. Here's the end result! :^) Update: And here's the letter itself!

October 19 - Mad Bomber and Circus Linux! have both been ported to MorphOS.

October 18 - Tux Paint has been reviewed by Computeractive, a magazine from England!

October 13 - I've put photos online from my Atari 8-bit exhibit at the Vintage Computer Festival this weekend. Enjoy!

October 3 - The Vintage Computer Show takes place in Mountain View next weekend. My Atari 800XL is ready to go! I stuck a PAL graphics chip inside (so that the cool European demos will run well), and set up Melissa's laptop to boot my Atari up as if it were a floppy drive.
