November 2006

November 30, 2006 - Newsflash! Apparently the people I work for sent someone something.

November 13, 2006 - I figured out what happened to Demons to Diamonds. They work for an Internet company, now.

November 6, 2006 - Apparently the Sudoku game I wrote for my last company has been published (though branded as a Verizon Wireless game). It's available for a ton of VZW phones, too!

November 3, 2006 - Less than 2 weeks after release, the latest Tux Paint has been downloaded over 28,000 times!

November 2, 2006 - It's official! I'm on the jury for this year's les trophées du libre international free software contest!

November 2, 2006 - Thanks so some easy-to-read example code, I finally got around to adding smoothed zoom-in scaling to Tux Paint. Thanks, Christian! (Here's a before image, for comparison.)

November 1, 2006 - The Linux club I helped found back in 1999, and still help run, LUGOD in Davis, is apparently the subject of an entire article in this month's issue (#66) of Linux User and Developer magazine, in the UK!

While search for the news, I also discovered that a presentation on kids' software for Linux that I did three years ago was mentioned in an article on the same subject in some column of LU&D.

(And this month's issue appears to have yet another article on kids, so I'm sure Tux Paint must be in there somewhere, too! ;^) )
