

January 14, 2007 - TUX Magazine, an online magazine for novice Linux users, recently closed shop, but they've been posting free PDF downloads of select articles. Today, the one on Tux Paint that Melissa and I wrote became available. If you never signed up for TUX Mag., now you can check it out for free.January 12, 2007 - I just discovered that Tux Paint is available on some interactive learning stations at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts museum!
January 9, 2007 - Tux Paint was mentioned in The Guardian newspaper in the UK today!
January 7, 2007 - Apparently these folks do metrics on Open Source software, and determined that Tux Paint is 'worth' $852,869, and should have taken 16 person-years to develop. See their report.
January 5, 2007 - Tux Paint was chosen among the educational software to be used by The Imara Project, which provides computers (running Open Source software) to schoolchildren. (They were recently given a grant by Google to donate systems in Fiji.)
January 4, 2007 - I was worried they had pulled it, but it appears my Sudoku game for cellphones is still available. (It was re-branded as a Verizon "VZW" title, given new splash and menu graphics, and published by SuperScape — the company that acquired my last workplace)

January 2, 2007 - Long weekend. Visited friends in Davis (lots of Guitar Hero and homemade pizza on New Years Eve) and stayed over night for the first time with baby William. Then drove home with both Melissa and I in the front seats of the car -- how daring! Now: so tired...
