April 27, 2007 - My friend Mark K. Kim (who I knew from LUGOD in Davis) added an oft-requested feature to Tux Paint: the ability to enter localized text using the 'Text' tool. Recently, normal Latin support, like ñ and é, snuck in, but his is a way of switching Input Methods, e.g. from English, to Japanese Hiragana, to Japanese Katakana, and back! Here's a screenshot. It currently supports Japanese and Korean, but we've already updated the documentation to explain how to add more locales!April 6, 2007 - I don't think I ever mentioned, Tux Paint now runs the One Laptop Per Child's "XO" (the "$100 laptop").
April 5, 2007 - The recent article about Tux Paint in Macworld magazine is now online: Kid's digital easel: New life for old Macs. Enjoy!
April 4, 2007 - Finally got around to posting three more weeks of baby photos: week 15, week 16 and week 17.
