In December 2005, while cleaning up my office (one of the bedrooms
in our apartment in Mountain View) — see also:
game closet —,
I rearranged various bits on my desk to create a more expansive
workspace.
I considered giving all the details, but people will probably make
enough fun of me for this as it is. ;^)

The right side of the main desk. Center: Zaurus PDA cradle on top of
Mac mini on top of Linux box. On the right: envelope holder,
cordless phone, USB keyboard with trackball (currently used with
the Mac). On the left: digital camera (hanging), KVM switcher,
CF card reader, Atari SIO2PC cable, external IDE hard drive,
Atari 1050 floppy disk, Linux box's mouse.

The center of the main desk. Center: VGA monitor, Linux keyboard
(clacky IBM style!). KDE on the screen.

The left of the main desk. On the left: lamp (on the desk's
optional monitor stand; used to hold a Commodore monitor for the
Atari), Atari cartridges. Center: Atari 800XL connected via
MyIDE cartridge to an external IDE hard drive (living in a USB
case). Atari ST mouse connected. Between IDE drive and monitor:
an old JAM!! device, allowing me to switch between VGA (i.e.,
Linux and Mac mini) and composite or S-video (i.e., the Atari).
Atari BASIC up on the screen.
