ATARI FILE SERVER, VERSION 1.0, REL FEB 1992. The program is intended for simple loading (testing/running) of Atari programs from a PC-harddisk. The AFS doesn't support through-printing and other transfer-methods to/from the PC, it's just a simple (but easy to use) disk-emulating program. Besides the AFS program running on a IBM PC compatible and a small interface for the Atari 400/800/XL/XE, no other software than a normal DOS is needed.

There are on-line MACROs and automatic translation mode selection for each DIAL MENU entry. ANSITERM is now compatible with SpartaDOS. XMODEM file transfer has finally been added. Please read the documentation (ANSITERM.DOC) included with this distribution disk for more details.

This is a utility program that allows you to read, write and format diskettes on an IBM PC or compatible in the MYDOS double density format for the Atari 8-bit computers. The utility does not support any of the 128-byte sector formats, but the source is included (in case you come up with a way to add such support). The program has been compiled with Microsoft C and MASM. I hope you find it useful. Charles Marslett Wordmark Systems chasm@killer.UUCP

ATARI DISK IMAGE PROCESSOR This program is intended to be used with Nick Kennedy's SIO2PC program (and interface). It's kind of a MAKADISK program but greatly improved. It can handle multiple files and single, enhanced or double disk density formats. It also features a nice user interface. Files can be also extracted from disk images. The images created are formated like MYDOS disks. The program requires a PC with an EGA/VGA board (preferably color) and some memory (about 200k) to work.

===CHAIN.TXT:=== Chain.ACT is ASCII text (needs to be converted to ATASCII; that's simple tho). It was written by Russ Gilbert (Russ.Gilbert@apk.wariat.org) As the comments say, it lets you load another Action! program (as long as it's a "single stage" program; compiled Action! code is usually like this). This seems to work better for me than an XIO command calling the DOS "Binary Load", although that did work for me on other occasions. I don't know what's different about some of my current code, but it kept dying on me until I started using this routine, so if you've had problems jumping from one Action! program to the next, try this!

Subject: CKEY program Version 1.5 This is an updated version of a program I released about a year ago that adds some control key commands to the 8-bit Atari. This version fixes some bugs, like the lockups that occured when the user did a 'KEY' in SpartaDOS and then pressed RESET, and will not load multiply copies of itself into memory. Program functions: Control-S: pauses the display (like ^1). Control-Q: unpauses the display. Control-C: aborts (break key). Shift-Control-S: toggles the screen to increase speed. Shift-Control-R: Reboots. Shift-Control-P: Prints screen. Source code included in .ARC file.

The Protected mode version only runs in Dos-Mode and with emm386 not installed. I couldn't try it on a pentium, so I'm not sure whether it will run on it and I don't know, whether it likes all SVGA-cards. The loading and saving of atari disks isn't implemented in the protected mode version. The documentation is a little outdated. I wrote it, when I uploaded it to a local BBS, which is now about two years ago, and I am *not* good in writing documentation! mfg -- Wilhelm Zadrapa mailto:wfz@aon.at

MOVE Utility for SpartaDOS By Pab Sungenis Copr. 1993 Low-Budget Productions. MOVE will physically move the entry for a file (or subdirectory) from one directory to another on the same drive. The file itself will not be touched, only its directory entry. This method is faster than most other methods (which involve copying a file and then erasing the original) and helps prevent disk fragmentation by allowing the file to stay in one place. All attributes, time/date stamp, and everything, will be retained. Even hidden files can be moved with the MOVE command.

MTOS is a revolutionary new O.S for Atari 8-bit computers with 256k (or more)\ . It is actually a O.S. extention, since it works with the resident ROM based Atari O.S., and with DOS. With MTOS installed, the multitasking environment is made available to the Atari owner

This is a simple Atari BASIC program. It customizes the DUP.SYS file of MyDos 4.50. It allows you to set a default screen color, border color, text luminance, and left margin. These defaults are applied when the user types DOS. The program also creates a 1-sector binary load file called RUNDUP.OBJ. RUNDUP.OBJ allows you to modify certain binary load files, so that upon exit, instead of re-loading DUP.SYS, they will jump directly to the DUP.SYS menu. RUNDUP.OBJ does no checking to see if an uncorrupted copy of DUP exists in RAM, so be careful! Full documentation is included in the program.
